Noah Jupe (“A Quiet Place,” “No Sudden Move”) and Jaeden Martell (“IT,” “Knives Out”) are set to lead the cast of a remake of Joel Schumacher’s 1987 vampire classic “The Lost Boys” at Warner Bros. Pictures.
The original follows two brothers and their widowed mother who move to the rundown California beach town of Santa Carla which is being terrorized by a vampire biker gang.
Also in the mix are a pair of comic book-loving brothers who thought themselves vampire hunters. Jason Patric, Kiefer Sutherland, Jami Gertz, Dianne Wiest, Edward Herrmann, Corey Feldman and Corey Haim starred in the original which also boasted a famed soundtrack.
Randy McKinnon, who is working on the “Static Shock” project at HBO Max, will pen the modern day-set new take while “End of the F—ing World” creator Jonathan Entwistle directs. Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger will produce.
